sex.info domain name sold for $202,000
The domain name www.sex.info has just been sold for US$202,000.
“Bidder #13″ today won the auction conducted at www.sedo.com and which lasted for 2 weeks. There were 19 bids for the sex-related domain, with the auction ending with a final price of $202,000 — around 250 times more than the initial bid price of $800.

The owner of the sex.info domain joins the ranks of other domain owners who made a lot of money by selling domain names which could have been easily bought for just under $10.
In May 2007, the domain www.porn.com was sold for $9 million.
In June 2007, www.SEO.com was purchased for $5 million.
In 2006, the owner of the domain www.sex.com became an instant millionaire when a company bought it for $14 million.
Also in 2006, the domain www.sex.net fetched $450,000.
