How to disable ProtectFly in your RegisterFly domains
March 19, 2007
Step #5 in our guide to move domains away from RegisterFly.com is to remove ProtectFly if it is activated in the domains. For some of you who found difficulties deactivating ProtectFly, don't fret. Below is a guide on how to do exactly that.
How to disable ProtectFly in RegisterFly domains
1. You will need two RegisterFly accounts to do this. Go to RegisterFly.com and register for a new account if you only have one.
2. Once you have the second account, login to your original RegisterFly account and access "Change of Ownership > internal push to other user" located in the right-side Menu of the Account Control Panel. Click "Continue."
3. Enter the User ID of the account you will transfer the name/s into (the other RegisterFly account). Click "Continue."
4. You will then be shown a list of domains associated with the original RegisterFly account. Choose the domains you want to transfer to the other account. Check the option "Change the WHOIS/Contact info on the names being pushed" then click "Continue."
5. You will receive an email confirmation upon completion of the domain push. Login to your other RegisterFly account and change the contact information associated with the pushed domains. You can now again start the transfer process of the domains to a new registrar.

Hi Baran, have you tried all the suggestions in this article? Check them out first, probably at least one of those steps would work.

For people like BaRaN, you need to set up an account (GoDaddy.com) and they can help you out with the transfer. At GoDaddy you can do the transfer yourself. The transfer tool at GoDaddy will send an email to the e-mailadress in your whois. (Change that from 42g42hj4g2hj@protectfly.com to your personal e-mailadres, you will get an
Transaction ID:
Security Code:
With thoose two codes you can send an e-mail wich will provide you your Authorization Code!
Good Luck!

The method of domain pushing is really working. If you have troubles with the method of domain pushing while your domain isn’t expired, please contact me, I can provide some information: virtualtigress@gmail.com

Thank you so much! This worked perfectly! One thing to be aware of… if you log in to both accounts at the same time, they seem to interfere with each other, and then you’ll only be logged into one of the accounts. Better to log out & log back in.
